We mi a breed of cow called the 'Guernseys produce milk which is very high in protein and butterf

Dad retired from milking cows to let Keith take over the farm.  3 weeks into his retirement he was bored stiff and decided to get himself a few goats just to keep himself busy.  Word got around and we had heaps of calls from shops wanting goats milk so now he's milking up to 100 twice a day.

The goats get milked in the same building and at the same time as the cows, but on a seperate platform.  They are milked at about 5.30am and approx 4.00pm daily.

Goats are seasonal, which means that they all dry off (stop producing) for a period of 2 months each year.  Then they all kid and start producing again.  Unfortunately that means that we don't have goats milk for 2 months each also.  This is rather annoying for people who can only drink goats milk.

Goats milk has been found to be great for people who are Lactose Intolerant.  Goats milk has Lactose in it but people who are Lactose intolerant seem to be able to drink it without upsetting their stomach.

So If you are drinking soy milk at the moment - why not give our goats milk a go. You will be surprised at the pleasant taste. We have received rave reviews from people who have to drink goats milk for medical reasons or simply because they want to. They say it is the best tasting goats milk and goats yoghurt they've ever tried.

We are constantly replacing or repairing trees around the factory because someone goes through and leaves the gate open and the goats spot it from a mile off and seize an opportunity to do some damage.

This can be frustrating when we are trying to have a nice garden in front of the factory. Very frustrating!
