What's involved in a tour?

A tour guide will take you up to the baby animal pen to pat the baby goat and calf.  We will give you a brief history of the farm and the reason why we started Maleny Dairies.

You will then head to the 'Dairy' to see where the cows and goats get milked.  Children get to stand on the rotating platform and put their fingers in the cups to feel the suction.

Then we go to the factory so see where the milk is processed and bottled.

See the coldroom and drystore.

Watch a 6 minute DVD showing the process of milk from the cow to the bottle and everything in between.

At the conclusion of the tour, you will get to try some of the award winning flavoured milks.

(If time permits for school children, we will have a question and answer session and play a game.)

When are the tours on?

We do the tours on:

Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's by appointment,

What do I need to bring?

You may like to bring a camera and capture a cute moment of your children with the animals.

We also suggest an esky, as everyone usually wants to take something home with them.  If you forget to bring an ice brick, please ask for one.

Do I need old shoes? Only if extremely wet.  We have bitumen and gravel roads.  The tour is inside and outside so please dress accordingly.
Can I buy food there ?

We don't have a caffeteria here, but we do offer Morning Tea and/or Lunches for groups of 20 or more.  This needs to be booked when you book your tour.
