Committed to a sustainable future

For over 70 years, we have been proud to call the beautiful rolling hills of Maleny home. Which is why it is so important to us that we help preserve this precious environment and ensure a sustainable future for not only our dairy, but also our farmers, our community and our customers.

What does it mean to be Carbon positive?

We’re proud to be Queensland’s first Carbon Positive Dairy. This means that we are substantially reducing our carbon footprint, but we are not stopping at net-zero emissions; we are going beyond to remove additional carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Fresh from farm to fridge.

Our award winning, family owned, and operated business is committed to making sure that our dairy consistently produces top quality, delicious, and healthy products. Our products are naturally produced, locally sourced, bottled cold and delivered fresh from the farm to your fridge.

Proud to be Queensland’s first
carbon-positive dairy business

For over 70 years, we have been proud to call Maleny home. Our wonderful corner of Queensland has been the foundation for the delicious dairy products that we create, which is why it is vital that we help preserve this precious environment.

So, we are proud to be doing our bit by becoming Queensland’s first carbon-positive dairy business. This means that we are substantially reducing our carbon footprint, but we are not stopping at net-zero emissions; we are going beyond to remove additional carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

That means that from farm to store, every glass of Maleny Dairies’ milk helps to sustain our environment and protect it for future generations.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is carbon positive?

Carbon positive means that we go beyond a net-zero emissions target and offset our activities beyond zero balance and into positive territory.

  • Why is Maleny Dairies becoming carbon positive?

As an organisation, we are reliant upon the environment for everything that we do, so it makes sense to protect the amazing part of the world we call home. If we can do this by reducing our carbon footprint, then it is the right thing to do.

  • Is the whole supply chain carbon positive?

Stage one of our carbon-positive journey focuses on the dairy business responsible for collecting milk from farms, bottling, and distributing it to stores. We acknowledge that it is the first step. In the coming months, we will be working with our farmers, retailers and supply chain to examine further and implement carbon-positive actions that help sustain and protect our environment.
