Sour Cream Pastry

Smooth pastry made with beautiful sour cream


  • 1/3 cup Maleny Dairies Sour Cream

  • 1 and 1/4 cups of plain flour

  • 150g Unsalted Butter


  1. ​​Preheat the oven to 200°C

  2. Chop the butter into squares. 

  3. In a bowl, rub the flour and butter with your fingertips. 

  4. Using a butter knife, combine the sour cream into the mix. 

  5. Knead until mixed in

  6. Roll the pastry out onto a lightly floured surface until 4cm thick. 

  7. Line a pie tin with baking paper and place the pastry on the tin.

  8. Blind bake for 15 minutes then remove pie weights and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
